    2. Rallies for university tuition cut gaining momentum

    3. Starting with the promise of President Lee during his election, 2007 presidential election, tuition cut by 50%, university tuition has been an ongoing issue. After the United States, South Korea’s tuition is ranked second highest according to the 2009 report. While private universities cost 7.69 million won annually, national and provincial universities’ tuitions are 4.43 million won ($7,000 and $4,000 respectively). Considering Korea’s GDP per captia is $20,000, tuition in Korea is not so cheap.

Numerous students in Korea are now working and studying, resulting in receiving lower grades. Other students had help from student loan, which was planned and issued by the government. This sounds great deal. However, as soon as the students graduate and get a job, they are in large debt with astonishing interest rates. Since the Lee’s administration, there have been numerous suicides in university students because of their tuition.

Protests began last month and this time, it does not look like people are not going to let go easy like the past. More concerns rose among political figures and it seems that there is going to be a large debt. With the preferable future, the promise by President Lee will be kept and the gap between private and public universities will be reduced with half the tuition.

But then, we have to think about the possible future as well. Of course, 50% cut in tuition sounds great and plausible. However, consider the amount of funds there has to be to make this come true. Think about where does that money come from?

I personally believe that not only tuition cut
should happen but also there should be more scholarship programs with other systems to aid university students.

A growing number of students and civic group members are joining forces to stage street rallies, lending greater momentum to the campaign to bring down university tuition.

A number of rallies are scheduled across the country, including Seoul and Busan, over the weekend. Fueling the campaign are liberal activists and celebrities who openly support the move through the Internet and other activities.

    2. Gap between rich and poor has doubled in past 30 years.

    3. The gap between the poor and the rich is getting wider as time pass by. It is not just Korea's problem but world's problem. There are a lot of drawbacks from the ineequality. Inequality dramatically affects children's chances in life, with babies born to poor mothers more likely to develop health problems in later life. If the tendency is keep going, people in the poor condition will not be able to change their condition even though they try very hard. The possible solution is redistributioning the wealth.

4.The study by the TUC union found that while disposable income for the wealthiest in society has risen to more than £700 a week, that of the poorest has only gone up marginally - and is still less than £200.
It claims more Britons are living below the breadline than 20 years ago, and that no other European country has such a gulf between rich and poor.

    Unification is coming

North Korea has been hiding about ROK's economic wealth to its citizen. However, since north koreans are aware of ROK'S abundance, they would not listen to its government; then their government will not be able to handle their citizens and get collasped soon after. It's preferable, possible and probable to unify peacefully. But there could be a war as well.

More N.Koreans hope unification initiated by South Korea: report

As the economic gap between North and South Korea widens, more North Koreans think that unification led by South Korea would make their lives better, Radio Free Asia reported.

North Koreans are also well aware of the economic prosperity the South has established and as they suffer from economic hardship, they begin to question the consequences of unification led by communist North Korea.

Unification has been the word of hope for the two Koreas for a long time as well expressed in the song “Our wish is unification.” But, “mentioning the word can cause harm these days in North Korea,” said a Korean-Chinese businessman, identified by surname Oh, who invests in North Korea.

3.In Ukraine, 19-year-old girl was killed by stoning of three guys because of she joined in the beauty competition. The reason why she killed by them is because she go against with the Islam commandments. However, according to the time pass, the commandments or law should be modified. Otherwise, it would make more casualties.

    Financial hardship of university students

Many university students decided to commit suicide or even kill themselves because of their financial problems. Why are many students thinking this extreme decision? First, Low quality welfare policy is the reason. No matter how rich the country may be, there are not proper welfare policies so students choose work to pay their school expenses than study hard to achieve their goals. Second, originally high school expenses are burden to many poor students and even not so poor students. So, we have to help students with tuition and reduce costs. This way lights their burden and help students to concentrate their real obligation. If government doesn’t try to act these policies, future of our society is gloomy.

    2. Drive a Car Without Touching the Wheel

    3. It was true that how Mr. Whitaker was talking that people will start to invent and develop technologies for disabled people, but that technologies will eventually start to emerge normal human living. University in Berlin has invented a car that is controlled and driven by human "thoughts", which exactly approaches with Bell's scenario! check the video out on the link below! It's so cool! ( future is near!!!)

    -----------

"Researchers in Germany have developed a thought-controlled car that allows drivers to maneuver the vehicle using the power of their minds."
